Our Core Initiatives

At JA, we are committed to giving students the skill set and mindset to build thriving communities. This is especially vital in our local Iowa communities as we watch employers struggle to meet workforce demands while young people struggle with financial burdens amidst an ever-evolving economic and technical environment.

We know that solving issues plaguing our next generation are too much for a single organization to bear. That is why we are dedicated to statewide change, through government advocacy and corporate partnerships, to impact students across Iowa.

Preparing Iowa’s Young People for What’s Next

At Junior Achievement, we give young people the skills, confidence and mindset to build successful futures and thriving communities.
That work matters now more than ever. Across Iowa, employers are navigating workforce challenges while young people face increasing financial pressures in an economy shaped by rapid technological and economic change. JA helps students connect what they learn in the classroom to the skills, knowledge and experiences they need for the world beyond it.

Our Iowa Impact

Creating meaningful change for Iowa’s next generation takes all of us. Through the partnership of educators, volunteers, businesses, community leaders and policymakers, Junior Achievement is helping young people across Iowa prepare for what’s next.
